Dog Walking Service
Our value for money packages are designed so that all household budgets can access our invaluable services.
VIP’s flexible packages means that you can ‘pick and mix’ to tailor a package to meet your dog’s individual needs and you decide whether you’d like to use our services on a regular or ad-hoc basis. Contact us if you have any special requirements.
NB – VIP only ever use praise and positive reinforcement when caring for your dog.
Remember, VIP provide a FREE, complimentary home visit for all new clients booking any of our services for the first time – a good chance for us all to meet up and have a friendly chat about how best we can help you out!
Dog Walking Package 1
15 minute stretch – great for puppies and senior dogs
It’s an opportunity for your dog to stretch their legs and relieve themselves outside the house! After their little jaunt we can give them a chew or toy to keep them entertained until you return home. This package is suited to owners who work part time or are out of the house for short periods of time, owners of senior dogs and puppies and convalescing pets.
Note: VIP will only offer this service in addition to your dog’s normal daily exercise.
Dog Walking Package 2
30 minute trek – our most popular package
This walk has many physical and mental health benefits and is suitable for most dogs. We’ll find out whether a gentle, moderate or more rigorous romp around the park will suit your dog’s needs! It gives your dog something to look forward to – a great way to break up their day to offset boredom and anxiety until you get back home. This package is suited to dogs who are left alone for 4 or more hours at a time, owners with mobility problems or to relieve the pressure for those of us who have a hectic lifestyle and are simply too busy to fit everything in!
Dog Walking Package 3
60 minute workout – Let’s get physical!
Our 60 minute workout is geared towards young or energetic dogs and highly active breeds. It is designed to burn off your dog’s energy in a healthy and safe way using a combination of intensive walks, running and ‘fun but tiring’ agility exercises. This package is best suited to dogs who are left alone for 6 or more hours at a time, owners with mobility problems, professionals working long hours and for dogs who are exhibiting anxiety behaviours (incessant barking, whining and chewing are all signs of an under-exercised, distressed and frustrated dog). This package is a great way to rid your dog of their excess energy as well as their undesirable behaviours.
Testimonials
"My experience with VIP has predominately been with the dog walking side of the service. The website appealed on a number of levels including the pictures of happy dogs, the fact that it was a family run business and the assurance that they avoided pack walking - this was particularly important to me. The pricing structure was clear, transparent and fair. Both Andrew and Claire are genuine in their love for animals (that shines through) and have delivered an exceptionally high standard of service."
Louise Hunter, Sunderland
"
After many personal recommendations, I contacted VIP at short notice as my existing dog walker could no longer help. Claire and Andrew arranged a home visit within the week to meet my 14 month old Dachshun, Louis, and to discuss arrangements to see if they could assist. They both put me at ease instantly and Louis was also instantly impressed and was very much at home with both Claire and Andrew. Having trust in people who come into your home and who will genuinely care for your dog was critical to me and I felt comfortable with VIP and all the services they offer. I found the service very friendly, personable, honest, trustworthy and professional."
Joanne Gartland, Sunderland
'Myself and my husband have been using VIP since we got our puppy, Harley, at 7 weeks old. We continue to use VIP's services as we find them extremely reliable and trustworthy. They are animal lovers who treat my pets as they would their own. A triple A star service with a friendly smile!'

Puppy Socialisation
Like
children, puppies need lots of positive experiences to enable them to
develop in to well balanced, mentally and physically healthy dogs. VIP
know that regular visits to make sure your puppy is safe, well fed and
clean simply isn’t enough. At this crucial stage in your puppy’s development,
VIP can carry on your hard work when you want to, but simply can’t. As
part of our service we can:
-
Give your puppy lots of positive experiences with different kinds
of people both young and old. Like us, you may have known dogs who
discriminate against certain types of people showing aggression towards
or fear of children, men, people in uniforms or those carrying a walking
stick. We can help to prevent this.
-
Take your puppy to lots of different locations so that he or she
gets used to crowds, different noises and traffic. We will constantly
assess their behaviour to make sure that they are not being over-stimulated
or stressed by their new surroundings. We’ll even take your puppy
to your family vet, making sure they have positive experiences so
that s/he doesn’t associate the surgery with fear or pain.
-
Take your puppy to socialisation classes where they can learn the
basics of dog manners - just like children, your puppy learns through
play; as well as having a great time, shy puppies will learn to overcome
their shyness and boisterous pups will get told off by the others
when they go too far! A great way to prevent aggression in later life
and a real investment which you and your dog will reap the rewards
of.
